As a body therapist, I’ve seen too many people with foot pain that prevents them from enjoying life and even functioning normally. So I started this blog to tell everyone how to easily avoid foot pain, as well as heal any pain you may already have.

Fixing painful foot conditions doesn’t have to be difficult and expensive. It’s actually quite simple. To relieve foot pain, you must:
To start developing toned, strong, flexible feet, try this simple exercise using my special props, the Wakers. Anyone, whether or not they have foot problems, can do this exercise to begin releasing their feet from the restrictions created every day by their shoes.
Relieving foot pain and building fit feet begin with my Walking Test. This exercise shows you that it’s possible to use your entire foot when you walk. Many people’s feet are so stiff that they don’t bend at all. With each stride, the entire foot slaps down on the ground at once. Or the foot moves from the heel directly to the big toe, without any action in the middle part. Both these walking patterns are imbalanced, because just one part of the foot is taking all the impact.
In addition to this blog about keeping your feet healthy, we’ve created an Open Forum where you can ask questions or share your experiences with Yamuna’s other self-care and therapy systems: Yamuna® Body Rolling and Yamuna® Body Logic.
We invite you to create an account, log in, and add your thoughts to this blog or the forum. Click "Read more" for instructions.
The single biggest reason why anyone develops foot pain is that they wear shoes. Think about it: the feet are the only part of the body that we tie up and virtually immobilize all day, our entire life long. Even shoes that bend restrict movement in some way—and many shoes don’t bend at all. To me, tying a foot into a shoe is like putting it into a straitjacket.
