Group ClassesWe have a varied offering of group classes in the intimate atmosphere of our studio. Class size is limited to provide ample room to move, and ample individual attention from the instructor as needed.
|Yamuna® Body Rolling|
In a YBR® class you learn both basic and advanced YBR® routines as the instructor takes you systematically through the entire body, elongating muscles, releasing your spine, improving alignment, deepening your breathing, and increasing your relaxation response. Experience remarkable changes in your body after just one class.
Yamuna® Foot Fitness
Athletic power flows up through the feet, and strong, flexible feet are essential to your overall well-being, making our Foot Fitness class an integral part of Yamuna®. Whether you're a dancer, athlete, or just love to stroll the neighborhood, a Yamuna® Foot Fitness class is an essential preventative treatment. Using special props designed by Yamuna Zake, you'll learn a series of routines that strengthen your feet, improving function and flexibility. Feet contain reflex points that affect the entire body, so working your feet helps keep all of you healthy! We offer this 15-minute option as an adjunct to the other classes. Using the Foot Wakers and Foot Savers, the practitioner takes you through a series of routines to strengthen your feet, creating better function and flexibility.
Yamuna® Focus Class
Each and every part of the body can be worked on and rolled out. Every month Yamuna creates a set of focus classes which include but are not limited to the back, hips, rebuilding foot function, pregnancy and much more. Check weekly schedule for Focus Classes.
Her roots are deep in yoga practice, and this knowledge infuses all of the Yamuna disciplines. Master asanas while preventing injury – go deeper, hold longer, and radiate grace and power. Who would think a little ball could help achieve all this? Yamuna – and you. Basic through advanced Yamuna® Yoga routines that take you through the entire body, on the workout mat.
Yamuna® Based Pilates
Try one of our special combined YBR® and Pilates classes and see why the results occur faster. You will feel improved alignment, increased tone, strength, and flexibility. Using the ball as a place to focus allows you to feel how to use your body parts to ground into the ball and be able to feel your body moving out with control and ease of movement. This is an excellent class for those who have already been doing YBR® and wish to combine Pilates to increase tone, healthy resistance, and strength to their workout.
Yamuna® Master Class
Taught by Yamuna Zake herself, or one of her highly trained Yamuna® Studio Practitioners each class is a mini-workshop, focusing in depth on a specific part of the body or a particular theme. These workshop topics range from The Yamuna® Save your Body series, which includes Save your back , Save Your Shoulders etc, deeper core strengthening, intense foot work or to attend to the special needs of dancers, older people and children. The themes change constantly, please see the monthly schedule for details, (two per month).
